We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our Software and Hardware Testing group. We have a strong dynamic team of test engineers and are looking to expand the group with someone who can jump straight into the swing of things.

Position Requirements

  • 2+ Years Experience in Software Testing, Mobile Apps, Desktop, SQL and Website
  • Ability to problem solve and identify and innovate improvement opportunities.
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IMS or related degree plan.
  • Knowledge of standard QA methodologies, experience with Test Management Software.
  • Some knowledge of programming: SQL/.NET/Web, etc…
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Confluence a plus
  • Strong computer proficiency

Tier 1 Technical Support Engineer

Role Description: 

The Technical Support Engineer provides consistent, world-class product support for Datascan products. In serving as the primary liaison between the company and customer, the Customer Support Engineer resolves challenges by supporting cutting-edge self-scanning inventory counting and auditing software across complex, multi-faceted customer deployments.

Our support engineers possess excellent knowledge of customer inventory scanning and auditing needs along with the drive to assist the client when needed. Impeccable communication skills (written and verbal) focused on sustaining market leading customer loyalty is a key requirement for this position. The Technical Support Engineer provides support for Datascan’s entire product suite; including MyStore, Datanow, and DART. Questions come from a wide variety of sources including customers who need help counting their first inventory with Datascan to customers who have been longtime customers utilizing all of the features of the Datascan product.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Direct client support via phone or email for a 24*7 call center.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between the customer and Datascan for technical and functional related issues
  • Analyze and clarify customer technical inquiries
  • Analyzing inventory results, audits, and scanner issues
  • Ensure customer feedback is properly channeled into Product Management and Research & Development
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of Datascan products and inventory self-scanning best-practices
  • Create and publish solution knowledge for re-use by customers and Datascan employees

Lead Mobile Software Engineer

Business Development

Position Description:

Outside, enterprise level sales, with a focus on Fortune 500, VP and C-level retail executives to sell Datascan’s self-scan inventory solution and develop long-term retail partnerships.  Prospecting and networking with retailers and decision makers is part of the day-to-day tasks but ultimately through in-depth consultation and customized solutions help implement Datascan’s technology into retail chains worldwide.

 

Present the Datascan inventory solution to prospective retail clients in-person or online.  Travel throughout the US is required as we sell directly to the retail head office, not individual store locations.  Following introductory presentation meetings continue to develop the relationship with the retail prospect providing a cost analysis and work to organize corporate walk-through and pilot tests. Work directly with the Directors of Finance, Store Operations and Loss Prevention at major chain retailers to help them develop a strategic count solution utilizing the Datascan system.  Typically our timeline from meeting to pilot phase is 1 to 6 months with the average closing time being 12-18 months. Be present at all initial pilot counts, which allows you to continue finesse the Datascan solution specific to the retailer – finding the most efficient self-scan process for their environment. Long term relationships with clients are developed and continue throughout our partnership though account maintenance will be transitioned to a full-time Account Manager once the clients is committed to a long-term partnership.

 

Qualification:

University graduate who enjoys interacting with people and is able to professionally present in front of large groups at the same time provide inventory solutions in a consultative manner.  Must be willing to travel.  A background in retail and understanding of how stores are run or how inventory or cycle counts are performed would be very helpful.  Ability to take initiative and run the market like your own business – developing best practice strategies for expanding the marketing and reaching prospects.  Proficient in responding professionally to formal RFI/RFPs, developing written proposals using Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  Use of Salesforce as a daily tool to drive behavior and strategy.

Client Solutions Analyst

 Description

The Solutions Analyst (SA) role is critical in ensuring we provide solutions to clients that work well in the field and are specified clearly with IT engineering when changes or customizations are required.  The SA provides the key liaison between the business facing roles in Account Management and Sales and our internal IT engineering groups.

The SA is required to have the most in-depth knowledge of both a client’s technical configuration, how it works with their physical inventory processes and how the solution will be used in the field.

The SA is exposed to more clients of varying complexity and scope than any other group within Datascan.

The position is pivotal in ensuring Datascan’s clients receive both equipment and software that has been correctly specified, configured and delivered to enable them to perform inventory counts efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and fully understand client/prospect requests and submit detailed specifications to IT engineering for development
  • Liaise between client, Sales/Account management and IT engineering to ensure questions are answered and expectations are clear
  • Ensure programs are designed and working fully as specified by clients/prospects
  • Communicate directly with client/prospect regarding file requirements and specifications
  • Review lifecycle test cases and test procedures to ensure that test plans adequately test all requirements
  • Perform technical testing and UAT
  • Document and maintain records of client specifications. Update Datascan documentation as necessary when configuration changes are requested
  • Ensure documentation provided to the client/prospect is accurate and complete
  • Communicate effectively with clients/prospects, Sales and Account Managers on recommended best practice solutions
  • Attend client/prospect meetings as required to advise on best practices, alternate solutions etc.
  • Participate in discussions and make recommendations as to internal process improvements

Position Requirements

  • BA or BS relevant to the position
  • 3+ years experience in Solution Analyst or related roles

  • Knowledge of retail store inventory processes preferred but not mandatory

Inventory & Scheduling Analyst

Description

The Inventory & Scheduling Analysts’ primary function is ensuring that Account Management, IT and Operations are in sync regarding availability of inventory globally. Datascan currently has 6 product categories that all require daily management. Ensuring the schedule is complete and balanced on a daily basis while taking into account the various changes from Sales, Account Management group and any Customer returns.

Key Responsibilities

Twice-Weekly Schedule development

  • Daily balancing of scheduling changes against the twice-weekly schedule
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide accurate information
  • Ensure accurate data reporting and timeliness of information
  • Work closely with Account Management / Sales to ensure changes are communicated clearly
  • Work closely with the Ops team to generate needed information
  • Balancing the schedule based on service levels and priorities
  • Ensure immediate escalation when any one of the product categories falls below established threshold

Reporting

  • Completion and management of Outstanding report
  • Maintaining and developing needed reports
  • Daily schedule maintenance
  • Daily outstanding fleet reconciliation

Position Requirements
