As the President of Datascan, Adrian believes the vision for the Company is, “To provide retailers with the greatest value from their inventory process. This means transforming raw inventory data into meaningful, manageable inventory information that can be used to improve how a retailer conducts its business.” The collection of data that traditionally has a very short shelf-life, he says, needs now to be leveraged much more effectively to add value to a retailer’s investment in the process. “Datascan is on a quest”, Adrian says, “to take the value of the inventory process to a whole new level through utilizing the latest in Self-Scanning.”
Adrian has a long history of helping build successful businesses into leaders within their industries. With over 20 years of experience in the application of wireless and barcode data-collection technologies, he is no stranger to the challenges of the retail inventory market.

Adrian and his wife have happily relocated to the Dallas area, and when not at work enjoys listening to his eclectic collection of music, adding to his wine cellar and keeping in touch with his family in the UK.

Chief Information Officer

Angela Venuk joined Datascan as Chief Information Officer in April 2022. Angela’s experience is the culmination of over 25 years in Information Technology in industries such as retail and telecommunications. She is passionate about accelerating business growth through technology innovation while building high-functioning, diverse teams. As a prior customer of Datascan, she is excited to be part of the company’s journey to provide customers with cutting-edge global inventory solutions.

Angela and her husband, Fred, have two sons, Cade and Cole. She balances her life with a past-times such as pickleball, golf, youth hockey, reading, and volunteering in non-profits such as SIM and Children’s Advocacy Center in support of her personal and professional community. Angela received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. She’s a native Texan that has her root firmly planted in North Texas.

Chief Revenue Officer

Mark Belmer serves as Datascan’s Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing all sales and marketing activities for the brand globally since April of 2020. Mark’s background stems from 14 years at IBM where he was involved in sales and sales leadership. Additionally, Mark worked at NetApp for 14 years in sales leadership.

Mark grew up in the Los Angeles area and attended UCSD obtaining a degree in Computer Science and Management Sociology. He relocated years ago to Texas and now splits his time between Dallas and Norman, Oklahoma. Mark enjoys his two children, two step-children and three grandchildren – loves to travel and is a sports fanatic.

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, John brings over 30 years of strategic and operational finance experience to Datascan. Prior to joining Datascan, he helped transform and grow several businesses as CFO, investor, and/or consultant. In addition, his career included many years as an investment banker in NYC working with private equity firms to identify acquisition opportunities, finance those opportunities, help build them, and exit them through the public equity or M&A markets.

Having grown up in Massachusetts, John is a passionate Boston sports fan with complete dedication to the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics. When his wife Dale can tear him away from the game, they continue to enjoy the adventure of their two sons, Jake and Dixon. The whole family spends time skiing together in Colorado. John and Dale also enjoy cycling around Texas, Colorado and any place they can find an excuse to ride. Dale loves to drag him around the world on a vast array of journeys. Finally, John has a deep passion for music, which has included being the lead singer in a couple of bands as well as writing and performing his own songs.

Herb is responsible for providing technology and service leadership for Datascan. He brings over 25 years of technology and management experience from various industries, mostly in retail services. He works closely with clients to develop industry-leading inventory counting software and services. Prior to joining Datascan, Herb worked in various roles for Mobil Oil and marchFIRST. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis and MIS from Texas A&M University.

Director of Operations

Steve Gray joined Datascan in 2017 as Director of Operations. Steve assumes the leadership of the company’s operational functions.

Steve has more than 20 years of Logistics, Operations and Transportation experience. Prior to joining Datascan, he was at Inogen, a medical device company, where he was the Head of Logistics and Transportation. While at Inogen, he grew the Logistics organization from a staff of 8 to roughly 60 in just over 2 years. Steve was able to streamline the packaging process along with developing long term partner relationships with multiple transportation carriers. In addition, Steve brings experience with a diverse focus ranging from Intel, Symbol Technologies, Motorola and Nokia / Microsoft.

Steve was born and raised in Oregon but has called Texas home for the last 16 years. Between him and his wife, Roxie, they have 1 daughter, Mia and lots of animals.

SVP, Inventory Services

Nick joined Datascan in 2021. He is responsible for the full-service teams at Datascan and for The Inventory Extras which is a labor offering to Datascan’s customers who conduct their own inventory but need some assistance with personnel. Nick is committed to customer service and providing a solid addition to Datascan’s strong customer service culture. Nick has over 30 years in the inventory services business in the US, Canada and in Europe.
